ZB Library Hosting Wii Mario Kart Racing

Posted by YA maestro on October 27, 2008

The Zee-Bee Mario Kart Championship will be held Saturday, Nov. 22, at the ZB Library to determine the champion Wii driver of Zion and Benton townships.

Time trials will be held in the morning starting at 10 a.m. Quarterfinal heats, semifinal heats and the championship race will be held in the afternoon. The event is open to racers 10 years old and older.

To enter, racers should call the Adult Services reference desk at 847.872.4680, ext. 105, or register online or at the reference desk. The event is free, but spaces are limited.

To be crowned a Mario Kart champion, a racer must execute superior driving skills and demonstrate daring and grace under the fire of intense racing. But in this video kart racing competition, skill is not enough. Fortune must smile upon the victor.

Mario Kart racing in the Wii system offers a superior racing experience, because steering using the Wii wheel is more intuitive for a more conventional steering feel. Mario Kart is competitive for racers of all skill levels, because of random attacks by several weapons hiding within every course, many of which are unavoidable.

So anyone has a chance to win the first-, second- or third-place prizes on Nov. 22. Everyone will have fun. So register today.
